Chicago - The Musical tickets Long Beach

Meh.

Love the musical, this performance not so much. It would've been much better if they had cast performers from the musical theater world rather than Hollywood celebrities. Ashlee Simpson's voice wasn't great at the beginning and by the end, it was pretty much gone. And Lucy Lawless as Mama Morton did not work on so many levels.

The orchestra seemed a little too symphonic and not nearly jazzy enough.

That said, it's always fun to go to the Hollywood Bowl. I love the park and ride bus. We were the front row in our almost-but-not-quite-the-last section. That meant we had a ledge in front of us on which to set our food and drinks. that was great!
